So far, I've experienced quick kills on all five deer I've shot with the Berger 168 VLD out of my 7RM. Ranges varied from 20 yds to 437 yds.

Has anyone shot elk or moose with a Berger VLD?

I have had the same experience on deer with 140 gr out of my .270 WSM. Was gonna try 150 gr VLD's on a moose this year, but couldn't get away during the season. Maybe late season though, if I do I'll let you know.

Killed lots of deer and antelope with this bullet out of my 7mm STW and it pancaked them. Have no doubt it will do the same with moose or elk.

Shot a moose yesterday with the 168 Berger out of my 7RM. Shot was 30-40 yds broadside through some bush. One bullet hit a rib going in and a rib going out. The second bullet hit a rib but did not exit. The moose did not go more than 5 yds from where it was hit. Don't know for sure if the second was needed or not; I never take a chance.
