I will NEVER forget the first time I crested a hill, one of those LONG lakes came into view and there had to be well over 1000 caribou out on the ice all marching in the same direction. It was absolutely ....one of the most indelibley etched wild life experiences I have ever had, and I have had a few. The country, the wilderness, the whole thing was just simply defying adequate ability of expression. The only event probably greater to me was one year while hunting and just seated taking a break, I had a young male wolf come trotting by me and stop not 20 feet away and just try to figure out what I was. This went on for maybe 15 seconds, then just as nonchalonlty he turned and continued on his way with never a backward glance. I leave for "the road" in one week. YYYEEEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | ||
