I just got a spring Grizzly draw for region 7,area 23 A.This is just south of Mackenzsie from the Parsnip river west.I have never been in this area I have mostly hunted around Valemount. Does any one have any advice or know anyone who has hunted the area that could give me some helpful hints on good drainages or slides to hunt. I am a resident so I don't use or can afford guide and outfitters.

Here's a dumb question... I'm from Alberta so you probably expect that from me...

Why apply in that area without having first-hand idea about those type questions?

Ok, that aside, would Google Satellite be any help?

A logical question. My first choice was an area I have hunted for years. Second choice is a crap shoot as the question is,"Would you accept a second chioce". They don't give you an area , just a" Would you accept box".Good idea on on the Google and I will probably get some topo maps as well.

You guys from B.C. are so lucky (so far and hopefully forever) that you can still hunt grizz. I doubt if it will happen again in Alberta ... last time I hunted in Alaska the area had a two bear limit ... I also know that you are a very successful and knowlegable grizzly hunter in the past so would hate being a big furry bear in that area if you go up and have it !!! Smiler Good luck, amigo !!! tu2
