Sitting in Newark airport now awaiting an 1130 departure (Newark-Halifax-Deer Lake). Newark was a breeze with the rifle. An airline rep spotted me at the door and literally walked me right through it. Very happy with it so far.

Flying out to camp tomorrow morning. We’ll be hunting near Rocky Ridge Pond with DADG MacMillan outfitters. Hopefully my next update includes antlers.

Thanks to all who provided advice on travel, gear, and prep. This forum and its members are invaluable for that.

Your itinerary looks great. Let us know how everything goes in Halifax. It has to be better than Toronto. You should be bang on the rut.

Thanks, Mark. Flight out of Newark got delayed 2hrs (so far). Still leaves me 3hrs to clear Halifax. Hoping it doesn’t delay any further. I haven’t had an uneventful commercial flight in years.
