Folks, If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the video of Saeed's most recent safari in Tanzania, go check out his thread on the African Hunting Forum (stickied at the top). Just like last year, he is very generously offering to send anyone a copy that requests one. Just PM him your name and mailing address, and specify if you want it in normal DVD format, or high-res .wma format to play on a computer. Cheers Canuck

Chris, I have finally finished the videos. It is in 6 parts, each is about 2 hours. The DVD version is on 6 double layer DVDs, and the HD version is on 3 double layer DVDs. I specifically left quite a lot of footage on the country side and animals, as well as the actual hunts. Walter was here yesterday, laughing his head off at me shooting an ostrich with my 375/404. He must have watched that clip so many times. I remember Alan laughing so much at the shot, his face was bright red! We have just shot an oryx, and an ostrich was the last on our menu. We saw 3 I think running in an open plane. We got out of the truck, and the usual comedy ensued. Alan was carrying the shooting sticks, Roy was tying to get his video camera ready, and the ostrich is trying to put as much distance between us and him! Alan put the shooting sticks up, and Roy screaming "DON'T SHOOT YET! I AM NOT READY YET!" The ostrich got behind a tree. Then Alan moved the sticks so that I can see the ostrich. By that time he was at least 300 yards away running like hell. I got ont the sticks. The ostrich was running from right to left at a quartering angle. I aimed ahead of the junction of his neck and shoulders and yanked the trigger. The ostrich fell flat on it face. The bullet hit bim in the ass, going the whole lenght of his body, and lodging in the oppoeite shoulder! I have two computers working on tis project. One is burning DVDs and one is transcoding the HD files. I will see if I can get the ostrich and oryx videos done and post them tomorrow.

12 hours of footage! That's fantastic. I am looking forward to seeing it all. A 300 yard running shot on an ostrich!?!? I am really looking forward to seeing that. I can well imagine the 'usual comedy'. LOL. Cheers! Chris
