this winter I'he in mind a wolf hunt. I've checked many outfitters in Alberta, B.C. and Ontario but didnt found the right one. I mean one specialized in this very difficul trophy wit a good success rate, the only one seems Peter Martin in Ontario. Any advises?

Joel Wilkinson from Ceaser lake Outfitters in the Yukon would be a great choice.

There's a young Australian guide whose been working for Collingwood Brothers for a couple of years now - Kurt McGhie - who is specialising in late season hunts specifically for Wolves.
He's a hard working, skilful bloke who would be worth contacting on this matter.
Try collingwoodbros.com
Good luck.

I know a little bit about this subject. I have been hunting wolves for the past ten years around here and have recently started selling wolf only hunts to clients. So far it has been tough to finish the deal. I typically have 3 bait stations with blinds out to 250 yards. The trick is patience mixed with a little luck.

Take for instance Mark Young's hunt this year for cats we spent the last day at the wrong bait with the wolves hammering one of my baits 15 miles a way.Mark did shoot a couple yotes on the stand the last afternoon.

Pat another AR member came for a week did not see a thing. This is very rare but within 24 hrs of leaving the wolves not only hit one of the baits but came to one of the calling locations and pissed on the spot the fox pro was placed!!!!!!

The moral of the story is you can prepare all you like but you need to be in the right place at the right time.

The only promise you get from me on a wolf hunt is great food, and a nice cabin and a lot of time to read in your heated blind.

That being said, bring more then one tag for the time a pack of 8 shows up on the pile.

Trust me a wolf hunt can be over quick with a lot of luck but patients is key to success.
A good book or two is a must.
Don't plan on it being easier in any province or territory.

anywhere in Yukon to take care of some like bears in the spring.

Doug is not a bad choice and is offering protection while waiting not a bad idea ... winter is late this year but starting to be cold ...

yes Aziz, I remember your report and for this reason I've contacted Peter. But of course, as 2th doc said, not everybody are so lucky with him

If I were going after Wolf I would consider Lowell Davis, Alpine Outfitters, 780 539-4209 as being a top choice.
