Well, you are certainly going to find bears there!!

There are a couple of outfitters on the Island, but I only know of Jim Shockeys organization.

I don't know who does the QC's but either place is going to be spectacular. The QC's a re a real adventure.

How long are you going to be in the province and how much time can you put aside for a hunt?

QCI is pretty much a fly in trip if you don't have the 4 days AT LEAST to get to and from the hunting grounds.

Anywhere on VI can be reached by wheels in a long day.

There is actually some good bear hunting in some of the remote parts of the lower mainland and some hunts are done by boat too. Depending what time of the spring you are planning on comming will dictate if the bears are even out in the interrior. Most of the interrior is at least 2500 ft and where I live is at around 4000 ft. I don't even spend time hunting blackies til June.

We are planning on visiting the In-Law's next Spring. Any suggestions on a Black Bear Bow Hunt?

Thanks,

Mike

Sorry, Dawg, all I have is daughters - never been to a game here for fear of strangling a punk with his arm around one of my girls!

Logan is a nice area. Did you get to see the tree? It was gone when I got there.

As a non resident of Canada, you would need to hire an outfitter, unless one of the BC residents is a direct relative.

But BC has some of the est bear hunting in the world!

Do you have to stay close to Chilliwack or can you slip
away to somewhere else in the province for a week or so?

One week for the Hunt. It looks like late June or early July.
