There's another major snow storm moving in today, the second in a week. Here's a few pictures from opening day of bighorn season in southern Alberta, September 3!

Yes it is Larry.....this was the worst opening day I can remember since 1988. Certainly we get the occasional early September snow event but this year has been particularly bad.

Global warming right? rotflmo

Makes me wonder about the mountains in the NWT and the Yukon. It may be good that I got my ram when I did.

Looks like someone got a sheep in spite of the weather. Congrats!

I first experienced Alberta's abrupt weather changes on a moose hunt near Edson a few years back. We were tracking moose in 4" snow and the following afternoon we sat on the porch in t-shirts drinking wine in sunny 72F weather

Low to mid 20s (degrees C)this week....it was beautiful. End of October....who knows. We will likely experience all four seasons twice before then but I'd bring a warm coat and long underwear if I were you.....lol
