You have of course heard the dry humor joke

told between american gun owners about australia's "registration" program?

it goes: "Why don't Aussies water their lawns?"
Answer: "Because they want to keep their gun collection dry"

As for the Canadian registration/confiscation
program? I wish you luck...

I wish you all the best...

Mr. Gorsline:

Regarding Canada Steamship Lines, my understanding is that while in government, Paul Martin had to place his holdings in a blind trust. (Standard pratice here.) Now I'm not so naive as to believe was really all that blind. When he was about to become PM, he turned the business over to his son (sons?) technically ending his control. Practically; well I'm sure that's another matter.

Even if the registry is ended, we're still stuck with 99% of the same brutal laws regarding firearms. Not much change I'm afraid.

One other thing, most of the people mentioned as "Christians", like the Clintons, would almost certainly not pass the litmus test to qualify for a non-smoking eternity.

Dear Mr Shields,

Thanks for the info. I just cannot come to grips with the fact that a Canadian finance minister gave himself $160 million of the taxpayers money while he was in office. That is pure third world corruption. And then he becomes Prime Minister. Why is the Canadian media not even mentioning it. I am really suprised he hasn't been dragged out of his limouisine and hung on meat hooks in Nathan Phillips square.

VBR,

Well, the only people who might expose it are in the big newspaper business: and I would assume they all go to the same club. Let's hope the Consevatives kill the registry quickly.
