I'm putting this question to both the Alaskan and Canadian hunting topics. I've about made up my mind to go moose hunting in 2010. For the biggest bulls, should I be hunting Alaska or Canada? Areas mentioned were: Alaska - 1. ANWR 2. Northwestern Alaska 3. Alaskan Peninsula Canada - 1. Yukon If it was your money going towards a big bull, where would you put it? The Yukon seems to me to be the best bet for a 70" opportunity. I don't see much difference in price; 14 to 15K in Alaska or the Yukon, unless I went outfitted / unguided in Alaska; then the price falls in half. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

You might want to check out the NWT. I guided some great bulls in that area. There is word of a new #7 B&C bull coming from the NWT at 258BC this past fall!! If your heart is set on a 70" bull then you might have to hunt for awhile. I didn't get to hung up on the width thing. The widest I guided was 67" (226BC) The Largest B&C was 236BC and only 57" wide! I'm sure the prices would compare with the Yukon. Where ever you go make sure your guide knows how to call bulls in. You don't want to miss out on the best part!!! Have fun.
