Well, the current world #1B&C whitetail comes from Biggar Sakatchewan. But to give the devil his due, the 3 prairie Provinces all have the potential of producing some dandy whitetails, and parts of BC are putting out some gaggers as well. Lets not rule out some parts of Ontario, and the Maritimes. Hmm get the picture.......................

It's hard to say which has the largest, really depends on the area you're hunting. Here is a nice buck i took last year in Alberta while on an Elk hunt, just could not pass him up & brought a whitetail tag just in case.

Like said above, any of the prairie provinces have the chance at taking the next world record buck. I think BC and Ontario are also pretty good contenders at times. For outfitters and good deer, I would go to AB or SK. Personally my preference is Alberta. In Sask they can bait up north which works well to see more deer in a day, but depends what kind of hunt you want. Plenty of good outfitters in all provinces, just have to do your research on what type of hunt you want, what size deer you're happy with, and where you want to go.
My personal reccomendation is North River Outfitting with Ron Nemetchek. He runs the hunts in Alberta for the Realtree boys and kills some big deer every year....
BTW sdeshazo, nice buck.....did you get your elk as well?
Yes a very nice buck. Any of you NON RES. hunters coming up to Canada and wondering if you should spend a few bucks on a deer permit "just in case" can see the reason to.
Not sure which has more big bucks Alberta or Sask. but Sask. apparently has a lot less resident hunters chasing them.

I have done a lot of guiding here in Alberta. From talking to a lot of hunters who have hunted Sask. and here I have a few thoughts. From what I have learned is that you will have a higher number of deer in Sask. This may sound like it is better but there there is better trophy quality per number of animals in Alberta than Sask. The big deer in Sask. are getting harder to kill over the baits is also what a lot of my hunters have told me. It also depends on if you want to spend all week watching a bait or not. What ever you choose make sure you get a good outfitter in a good area. I don't know Ron Nemetcheck very well but he is a guy that produces as well as Chris Mikkinon. I don't think I spelled Chris's last name right but his outfit is out by calling lake. I have worked for a couple other guys but unless you get a good guide you are wasting your money.
If interested, I have 4 whitetail hunts for this fall. These were cancellations. They can be taken 19-25 of Nov. or 26 Nov.- 2 Dec. The hunts are $2150. plus 6%tax and license $210 Cdn. We have very big Whitetail here in Manitoba. We hunt the edge of Riding Mountain National Park. Please e-mail me if interested. Thanks, David Doan, Pioneer Outfitters
I completely agree.........Manitoba has some fantastic whitetail and is really a sleeper area, as Alberta and Sask. get most of the press. Keep in mind that Manitoba has way fewer hunters and the thus you hear less about it.
I have seen 170 to 190 class deer every fall.
Uhmmmm......I am relatively new but isn't your post pioneeroutfitters a bit pushy in an open forum? I don't blame you but it is a direct ad in the forum and every outfitter on here could do the same thing...........

pioneeroutfitters........I was not offended but I was not sure if that was allowed, as it isn't on most forums. I think I should have just PM'd you as well and not posted that. Sorry.
By the way....those are good prices and it is great deer hunting around RMNP. I live around there to.

Its been a while since we have talked. We talked about hunting in alaska last time & then we lost touch.I have hunted with an ooutfitter in Green Lake Saskatchewan for the past 3 years.I have killed 2 mid 150 class deer & 1 non typical 165.It is a first class place with great people.I am scheduled to go again in Oct around the 15th of Oct for a 6 day deal.Dont let people tell you you have to go freeze up there in Nov as rhe hunting is awesome. You will pass many, many, bucks in the130-140 class & if your somewhat patient you will kill a 150 class of better. We have a group of about 6 guys go every year but a couple have cancelled tis year. This is a blackpowder or bow hunt with shooting no more than 100 yds.If you would like I can e-mail you some pics of the recent bucks i have killed there in Oct.

No, I did not connect on the Elk. We were hunting a 6 point on one side minimum zone & had a 6x6 in the sights but the shot was not there. My Dad did take a very nice 5x6 on the same hunt, I was just as happy to see him shoot the Bull as I would have been to shoot it myself. Alberta is a beautiful place with tons of game. We saw Bear, Elk, Deer (Mule & Whitetail), Sheep, Moose. If you go to Alberta buy all the tags you can afford. I had to pass up a very nice Black Bear due to not buying the tag...
