I see Prophet River in Lloyminster AB is trying to get interest for this gun. In conjunction with Lipsey's in the US they have a go ahead if they get 200 interested. It would be a special Canadian run. They are looking at the RSI and 1A. I put an order in as this would be a cool 'Canadian' cal in a sweet gun. Give them a shout if interested. Here in Australia you would fill that order, maybe Prophet River could take some Australian orders? 12x12/9.3x74R

I just placed my order for one and have a buddy that has been raving away for years about wanting one. I want the 1-A version and will customize it to closely resemble the Farquharsons and other single shots an old friend of mine had in his fabulous collection. I have wanted a single shot .303 since before I can remember and this is THE IDEAL platform for the fine old round.

Ruger........made in AMERICA and Dewey wants one? Is he stooping THAT low? Hard to believe something made HERE could possibly satisfy him. I don't think Canadiens should be able to buy an American made gun.........they should make their own guns. Yea, right. The authorities would rather melt them into coffin nails. Sorry Dewey, I just could not help myself from poking you in the ribs.

No need to apologize, you have every right to say whatever you wish and a ...poke in the ribs... does not bother me. OK, probably half of my 40+ guns ARE of U.S. origin and most of those are P-64 Mod. 70s. I also have a Dakota, several Rugers, a Remington and Marlins plus a S&W and maybe others. Many of these were made long ago and imported into Canada, before the current laws that we MUST fight carefully or we WILL lose our guns. They were, as contemporary US products are, made using cheap Canadian energy, resources and at a time when Canada and the US were friends and honoured treaties with each other. So, while I COULD cancel my order and simply use my many highgrade Euro. guns, I do not think Ruger would thank you for espousing such a policy at this time of recession. I will consider your policy and then decide what to do. Close our dams, "Tar Island" and sell our resources to the Chinese at the same bargain prices we now give you.....hmmmm...... Good post, tho', I like a scrappy Yank and respect a man who stands for what he believes in, even if he is usually wrong, as you seem to be.
