There have been a lot of monumental changes in law as a result of a well-informed grassroots lobby. We had a long gun registration in Canada once....the antis don't always get their way.
I love the idea; what's the NFA's stance on this today? I wrote them a letter several years ago about this very issue and they didn't express any support whatsoever, for wilderness carry.

I think we should be drafting a second letter and sending that to the NFA as well, to get their support behind this.

^ FYI, because I believe in this, I am drafting a letter on my own. Not using the online letter (although it's very good).
I am going to send copies to the Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice, and local Member of Parliment. I am also going to send one to the N.F.A. (fyi: Nat'l Firearms Ass'n of Canada).
I will draft a basic letter, then edit one to suit each recipient.
FWIW, Jim.
