Gumboot Isn't that x64 a beatiful round? I can'r speak to the Mega & Orynx bullets but the Partion 286 gr and the Swift 300 gr A frame are both appropriate bullets in the x64.The partition performs as one would expect, the front blows up with lots of damage and the rear section penetrates. The A frame penetrates like you wouldn't believe. I'm just starting to work with the Barnes X bullets. The 286 gr is very long and is giving me a few issues. The 250 gr X may be better in my rifle.

. My standard load has been a 250 TSX @ 2750 fps ... It is a great round .. Craig Boddington said in his article on the 9.3x66 or 370 Magnum that the recoil was much less than the 375 . My 64 is very mild compared to all the 375 H&Hs I had and the 375 Ruger Alaskan ..... My rifle has a relatively small integral muzzle brake .but with a 285 gr bullet @ around 2700 fps it kicks much less than the 375 Ruger Ak shooting a 270 gr bullet @ 2725 fps avg .. Either the brake is way efficient or there is something to it ... What powder are you useing .... I found just a little extra of the faster medium burning powders like H4895 and RL 15 gave me pressure spikes with all the bullets I,ve tried ... But IMR 4350 does not and it gives me more velocity ... The load I settled on @ this point is 75 gr 4350 with a moly tumbled 285 gr mega or orynx . but I am going to try the 285 gr TSX . and if I can find some more 4350 I will retry my 250 gr TSX load ...

Gumboot I have had the most consistant loads with 4320 in my rifle. Rl 15 is also quite good. IMR 4350 was OK with heavy bullets but charges are compressed.
