Why don't you tell us all what you are looking for, and maybe we can help. If I was moving to Canada I would only consider 4 places in this order; Yukon Territory, British Columbia, Northwest Territory, and Alberta. More variety of species to hunt, more crown land.

D99 you have reason. I'm looking a vacation property in Canada. Not for moving but just for stay there during the holidays and of course during the hunting season. I prefer buy a piece of land as my own private hunting area but also I can consider a nice house in a rich of wildlife territory. Nfl is my first choice for a house as is full of game and close to the Europe. I found also a nice property in New Brunswick but seems the hunting there is not so great. I like Alberta as ther'are many species of big game but the properties there are very expensive. Manitoba (South-West) is another option, ther'are farms of 500 or more acres for a reasonnable price. But I dont know if the hunt there is good mario

deer are plentiful in SW Manitoba, as are partridge, doves and grouse. There is an elk herd somewhere in Manitoba....tightly controlled....but it exists...and I believe it can be hunted. Ducks are plentiful. I am from Manitoba, but now live in Florida. My brother has a commercial real estate company in Winnipeg, does NOT sell land...and is extremely knowledgeable of (commercial) property in Manitoba....but he might be able to advise you...and refer to to a good source of specific info. He is completely honest.....and a GOOD guy....and will not seek to profit Alex

Mario, Manitoba has some excellent hunting opportunities for Moose ,Elk, black bear whitetail deer, wolf, all near the Swan river area between the Riding and Duck mountain parks. Cheep property available here ! one note I'd like to make...,Where ever you choose to buy property in Canada, with the new Metis hunting rights the animal populations are sure to be decimated ! this his happening in all game rich areas as we speak! A dispicable situation to say the least!!! Tom

Vacation property might be very nice. Be aware that you will still be non-resident aliens and as such won't have many hunting opportunities available. maybe non-game species and maybe some game birds will be available, otherwise you'll have to go through an outfitter. Or buy out an existing outfitter and use his allocations for your own use....a grey area legally. the chef

I know that in Canada I need an outfitter for obtain the tags for big game and that I must hunting with a licensed guide. But I'm sure to find someone there that can help me. However the properties I found are not far from the swan river. mario

Tom, I do believe you are talking out your ass on the metis hunting decimating the herds. What founded evidence do you have to support such a slanderous statement. The only reason the matis may decimate a herd is because some lazy whitey is buying the meat from them.

Hey Chef, I"m not defending the cross border hunting, I agree with you on that point. My response is to the comment from Tom concerning the decimation of herds from metis hunting that is all. You don't have to be the best shot....Just the last shot.
