Over the years I've tried to place various orders with this place and they never, and I mean never, have the parts I'm looking for been in inventory. Actually not true. A few months ago they did have half of a guard screw set that I needed for a model 70. I decided to call back to see if the other half was now in inventory and got some jerk off run around about how much shit they have to look through to find what I'm looking for.

Soooooo called Winchester and those stupid idiots won't ship a simple bolt (ie guard screw) across the 49th parrallel.

Anyone else have trouble with Western Gun Parts?

Chuck,
I had same problems with parts for my Remington rifle. I need a spring and the dealer couldn't get it, because was too small of an order even to bother. SO I waited for couple months, then got ticked and acted on my own.

I called Remington, paid for the part to address in States and then my buddy shipped me $4.00 !!!! spring over to me.

What a bull.

Yup.

Get a friend in the USA to order it, and then have them mail it to you.

If it's just some screws, it's no problem..

kutenay-Once again you had hit the proverbial nail on the head. Just saw the latest poll suggesting the Liberals ahead of the Conservatives. Same old same old. Even my MP suggested that if they get in he will go for separation.

Separation is NOT the solution to our problems here in Canada; it would lead to the best parts of this country being gobbled up by the Yankees, something that is beneficial only in the minds of those whose concepts of democracy and firearms use come from reading "Soldier of Fortune" trashazines.

We need a cultural revolution and a renaissance in Canada, a return to our Nordic roots and an end to non-traditional immigration, multiculturalism, peacekeeping and excessive foreign influence, Yankee, UN or otherwise. In short, we REAL Canucks need to stand tall to keep our country, not throw it away into a balkanized mess of little states and damYankee owned enclaves.

This isuue has nothing to do with Gun laws/political bull shit at all! Winchester has not been willing to ship to individual gun owners in Canada for years. They have a distributor in the Country. IE Western Gun Parts, and that is who they deal with. I ran into the same bullshit with Browning (same people) ten years ago.

It's the "I could care less" attitude of Western Gun Parts that ticks me off. The last order I tried to place with them was for a LH Bolt stop about six-senven months ago. They were still waiting for shipment they said and weren't willing to place a special order as these were aparently a new item. I've owned LH Model 70's since the mid 90's! Anyway.

Kutenay, I'm passing on what I know. That being that Olin has told me that they have not shipped to individual in this Country in 40yrs. As such I don't believe that politics has anything to do with it. It was absolutely nothing personal. At all! An observation about two companies that don't care.

The browning incident involved a trigger. Apparently this part is restricted so no way in haities would they ship to me. Well......I climbed the corporate ladder and apparently talked to the right guy and he shipped me the trigger the very same day.

In my opinion law/political bull shit has nothing to do with this. An honest observation and info that I think needs to be passed on.
