Looking for some info on non resident varmint hunting in Alberta (p-dog and coyotes), I realise that there is no varmint permit required for locals as long as they have the land owners permission, but is it the same for hunters from out of the province without any type of permit or guide?

Thanks.

Well gophers are wide open. I think you might need a local to sign youup for coyotes etc.

I hear from locals it is legal, I was just finding it hard to believe since the non resident hunting laws are so strict where I live (you need to have a guide whatever you hunt).

I often work in Alberta and always bring a rifle wherever I go, just dont feel like looking over my shoulder not knowing if I am breaking any laws or not.
