Stronach defects to Liberals

OTTAWA (CP) - In a stunning political move, high-profile Tory MP Belinda Stronach has defected to the Liberals.

Prime Minister Paul Martin announced the surprise development today, naming Stronach as human resources minister.

The move appears to give the Liberals a better chance of passing a crucial confidence motion scheduled for Thursday.

Two weeks ago, Stronach warned that defeating the federal budget in the confidence vote might be a bad move that could backfire on the Conservatives.

She said critical portions of the budget - particularly the billions promised for municipal infrastructure - were extremely important to individuals in her riding north of Toronto and other constituencies in the area.

Hah, I remember telling my wife when BeBopBelinda first came into politics that she would do this; she is "cool" and does not belong in the Conservative Party. That mouthy little immigrant, Dr. Keith Martin, did exactly the same thing as I knew he would, scumbags, both of them.

Prime Minister Belinda..........well, nice tits, at least!

Will McKay now tell all. Not only were he and she "dating" but she has given him a royal screwing.

It is going to put more pressure on the unity of the Conservatives. She did recieve quite a bit of Ontario support in her leadership bid.

I don't really think any party that has to use these ploys to stay in power deserves to rule. Is there some point at which you guys get your dander up enough to drum them out of office? Maybe we are a nation of wimps after all. Not too proud of saying that, but possibly it needs to be said. Best wishes.
