There is no such thing as an affordable cancellation sheep hunt. Do it once. Do it right. Plan ahead and be ready.

Get your name on the list with several reputable Dall sheep outfitters and be able to go at a moment's notice and there are some smoking deals to be had. If you aren't on their list, by the time you hear about it, it will likely be gone.

Hi sheephunter,
That does sound like a great idea? What outfitters would you recommend.
Thx!

Dennis

Pretty hard to go wrong with any of the NWT and Yukon outfitters. Gana River, Stan Stevens, and Arctic Red are three of the top outfits in the NWT. Dan Reynolds in the Yukon is top shelf and Jarrett Deuling occasionally has a cancellation...I know he had a real deal last year on a Dall hunt.

Harold Grinde and Gana River are top notch. Kevin Olmstead is great. Bonnet Plume is awesome. Arctic Red is another great place. Dan Reynolds is an amazing place if you can get in touch.

Have hunted twice with Nahanni Butte for moose. Jim Lancaster and Clay Lancaster are the owners. I like them both and consider them friends. I already have pics of two 40" rams taken this year by their clients. They have the sheep and in the NWT the guide areas are exclusive. The helicopter access is good if your older or not in shape.
