Well, I don't know when they did it, but they did, and I didn't get drawn for mountain goat.

Next year, I can feel it!

Draw for a goat???????? yea right, I'd be just as likely to find a hazel walking sick laying in the woods. Those hazel sticks are very rare!!

The best thing we can do is go to B.C. and shoot one. If I have to wait until I am 70 to get drawn I don't think I'll be climbing too many mountains!

It's so commonplace I don't even know how to describe them. Someday we'll have to go "walkabout" and I'll show you one.

cheers

No luck on the draw. Ovis stole my comment. Big Grin You could try a diamond willow staff, Frans. Pretty flashy and you won't look like Moses. The wife went to pick some rasberries on the fence line behind the house the other day, to find it all trampled down, as well as some rotten logs dug up. Might not have to far to get me another Bar. Smiler Maybe, it's a Blonde.
Damn knee is still bothering me, but I'm gonna stoke up on Motrin and see if I can find a ram tomorrow. As for a staff, I've got myself a length of well aged poplar. Hard and strong as hell.

With your luck, Grizz, it probably will be. How will J. react if you tell her you need to send another thing to the taxidermist? ;-)

No sheep today, a bruised knee, and no plan for opening day...
