So my client tells me to not buy a gun unseen off a private person, but to get the SAKO M75 Stainless in .375HH instead. Which is good because last week Wholesales had one in stock!

Had. Last week. Not anymore.

So now the hunt is on for SAKO M75 Stainless in .375 H&H ...

I called Russell, Wholesale, Shooting Edge, Ellwood. Nothing.

Called Stoeger Canada, the importer. Last one they shipped out was June 2004, and they haven't received any since. Mad

Anybody?

Accuracy Plus in Peterborough has a Sako in .375 H&H listed in their used guns listing.

I don't know if its stainless or not, since it's being a bolt action turns me off right away.

They're at http://www.accuracyplus.biz .

I sent you a PM. I looked into that gun a couple of weeks ago.

I can send you the pictures if you like.

Try P & D Enterprises in Edmonton. They may.

Their website is http://www.p-d-ent.com

Or try Corlanes in DSawson Creek, B.C.

Frans, I dealt with Nick at Stoeger, a Benelli rep. Don't hold your breath, it took me 16 months to get a LH Benelli directly from Italy.

I'd look at the used market, and if you're going to use it on DG, what about a Model 70?

Cheers,
CL

I was just there last Monday and they didn't seem to have very much in stock, I didn't notice a Sako 75. They do have a nice .340 Weatherby on a mag. Mauser action by the immortal Jerry Fisher, a lovely piece and just what you need....for only about six G's!

Guilty as charged, but not in this case... I was only following orders from a client. Anyway, to put this quest to rest, I ended up buying a Win M70 SS in .375H&H NIB from a private individual in the Yukon. I've got the scope and recoil pad installed, sling attached.

Sighted in, but not quite happy with accuracy just yet. Feeding issue too, when fed slowly (see Big Bore forum if interested). Needs more TLC, I guess.

Sako and Tikka has SS guns blowing up. We have not heard from Berreta yet on why or what they are doing about it. It's seems to be a cover up.

Another thing is that I want to know if the Sako 75 in 375HH is CRF or not? Is it a Safari model and is the Safari true CRF?

The guns being recalled were ALL Tikka's. NONE were Sako's.
The problem was that there was some bad steel. How it slipped by them I have no idea. All of the recalled firearms have been returned to Beretta.
