So how long do you hosers think Martin's minority government will last? P.S. Sorry about the 'hosers' term; should have used 'cheesehead'. By the way, I enjoy visiting Canada and think your country is the jewel of North America.
Two CPC votes cast from this house, one more comes from my son, and another two from my parents. Good bye, and good ridance to the Liberal in my riding at least, and preferably, the whole Liberal party.
Yeah, but there are blocks to what a liberal pres can do, unlike a liberal pm. So, once again Ontario, we send you our heartfelt "thanks" from the west.I didn't expect much from the multi generational welfare addicts in the maritimes, or the living on another planet Quebecois (or the Edmonton West yuppies, for that matter), but Ontario basically said that lieing and stealing for your cronies is Ok. Thier new theme song? "Do that to me one more time." I think I'll just stay drunk for a week. - Dan

You guys certainly have my sympathies. Like most Americans, I guess, I dont follow Canadian politics too closely but I did listen to the news reports about the election yesterday and today. I was heartened to hear that the Liberals had their power weakened but it sounds like theyre still in charge. (I dont fully understand the parliamentary system).
Dont these left-wing ninnies suck? We have our share down here too; even in Texas. I sure get tired of their crap.
Once again ontario makes a choice for all of us,maybe instead of giving more seat to the bigger province we should give more seats to the province who contributes more money to canada, alberta gets 75 ,ontario 35 and quebec 1.I'm from the yukon boy I wishwe could slide a little farther west and join alaska!!Now we have the liberals who will work with the ndp and push all the greenie shit down are throats, kioto is a done deal now better get use to spending $1.50-- $2.00 per liter.Instead of quebec having a referendum to leave canada, western canada should have one and make them go.Even yukoners voted liberal, then NDP and lastly P.C,.A fine country in witch we live!!

Voter turnout was the lowest since 1898 at only 60.4% of eligible voters casting a ballot. If you didn't vote, it's your own fault. The polling station where my wife and I voted was scarily empty- we were the only voters we saw there!
It IS a MINORITY government that is taking power. The Liberals are going to lose big time- especially on rules of law. They may get cushy money wise with the NDP, at the price of electoral laws being returned to what they were before PET and Co. screwed up the elections act.
Basicaly 2/3rds of Canadians are lefties anyway. Sorry to say I think this is the begining of the end for Quebec, seems no matter what effort is made nothing pleases them. From reports I have seen on T.V. the northern half of the province dose not want anything to do with seperation maybe this is a good time to start figuring out where the borders are going to be. I say cut Quebec in half let the North stay in Canada and build a wall around the rest.
