I know that in British Columbia if you are a trapper and are checking your traps you can legally carry a pistol on your person. Is there anywhere else in Canada were these rules apply?

I have heard of miners in the Yukon being able to carry sidearms.

I knew of a biologist in B.C that carried a .357 S&W.

I will come back to this topic later, when I have some time,

I know of a couple of prospectors here in BC have have Remote Carry Permits, or whatever the heck they call them these days! Used to be that if one were a Trapper, Prospector, Geologist or a Timbercruiser you could get the permit. derf
