Well, after hunting hard all week last week I was finally rewarded Friday morning when this guy came out on the trail of a hot doe. I was sitting point as my hunting partners pushed bush towards my position when this guy came out from the opposite direction!! Guess I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time Big Grin

My brother-in-law was after him for most of Muzzle season but he just wouldn't cooperate...I'm glad he made this fatal error as we haven't been seeing much CRYBABY

This is my biggest buck to date & I wouldn't have pulled the trigger if he wasn't!!

Nice 4x5 Buck. With the brutal winter we had last year deer numbers are definitly down so that makes this buck that much nicer in a tough year.

I hear ya...#'s are definitely much lower due to the last couple of winters. Hopefully the deer herd gets a break this winter & hopefully everyone that's seeing wolves & coyotes while out deer hunting are shooting 'em on sight...I know we've been doing our part with over 10 coyotes so far!

I hear you CK82. We(the deer) need the predators thinned out a little. While I sat in my stands the last couple of years I hear the wolve's almost daily. Never used to be like that. Used to be if you heard a wolf it was kind of nice. Now it just pisses me off. Just read an article online about wolves.. The study was conducted in Min. by the state dept. Goes on to say that a single wolf will eat between 12 and 20 deer per year. Wow. Cheers.
