Dewey posted this little jewel: Dewey I expect that this "argumentum ad hominem" will continue for some further time and, yet, it will mean nothing as the growing campaign influences B.C.'s politicians to do as most here want and ban all foreign hunting, etc. We will be up north, starting next week and will not hesitate to firmly tell any foreigners we encounter to bugger off back whence they came. So, rant on, boys, it will simply strengthen my resolve and that of others I know here to do whatever it takes to prevent more foreign hunting here....and, if it gets a little "exercised", well, can't say that you were not warned, eh? I am starting this thread for him so that he could post his pictures and tell us ALL about his encounters with the 'foreigners'. We all know Dewey to be very forthright on his feelings towards outsiders so this would be a great opportunity to display why we 'foreigners' shouldn't travel to Canada. Dewey will be waiting. All your's Dewey - post those pics and tell us in detail how it went!!

My buddy and I expect to leave next Saturday and should be gone for two weeks as that is all the time he can get off work. He is a very advanced photographer and has a full Hasselblad system plus a couple of major Leicas, so, we sometimes do get some nice photos. I will see if he is willing to post some here, after our trip, as he does not care for these forums and has only been on one a single time. I have had many encounters with foreigners as I was raised only some 50 miles from the border and Kootenay Lake attracts hordes of Americans to fish. Just before I moved to the coast to get married, circa, early '80s, a bunch of tourists from Texas trespassed on the property I lived on which is beachfront and I just offered them each a beer.....they were SO concerned about trespassing on private property, especially seeing the large number of rifles hanging on my walls, but, we are usually very mellow about trespass here, unlike where they were from and seldom shoot intruders......... I'll see what I can do for ya, Big Hat, but, most of your ilk are usually gone home by late Sept. as it is getting a bit cool in northern B.C. I won't REALLY be ...waiting..., I will just be hunting, but, I am sure that any like you will make their presence known, so, maybe I should get serious and sharpen my traditional Viking axe, eh.........

Two thoughts for you to consider Dewey my lad: 1. Think how much your taxes will go up without all that foreign aid we bring. 2. Never, never bring an axe to a gun fight. A thirty day boycott of Canada and Canadian goods by the US and you'd be bankrupt. Rich DRSS

Just curious, when you say 'trespass', did they hop a fence? In Texas (which has the third largest shoreline in the US) the beaches are public. Private prop goes to a certain point but there is always space along the beachline that is public. One thing we Texans understand is private prop. 98% of Texas is privately owned. That's why I'm curious as to how they came on your property.

Oh, I don't know, the little dudes in black pajamas did pretty well in shooting down your heli-gunships with homemade crossbows,eh. Imagine, the mighty U.S.A. totally whipped by a tiny, poor nation of largely illiterate peasant farmers....remember the evacuation of Saigon, when you abandoned so many Vietnamese who had helped you and flew off to "the world" to make movies of how YOUR soldiers suffered..... Funny, Vietnam and Red China now OWN your manufacturing and YOU are damm near bankrupt!

The beach to the "high water mark" is private and from there into the lacustrine zone is Crown Land. These folks came through the forest that surrounded this property and did not see the "Private Property" signs....it is not a big deal in rural B.C., except to some newcomers as we do not mind people walking across our land...we never had fences all the time I was growing up and most people did not, either.

Yeah foreigners. Just like y'all here at AR. Given the debt held by China, shouldn't y'all be getting permission from Beijing before talking back like this?
