First blush it looks like a step in the right direction. Sun news link:
Feds overhaul gun laws with new "common sense" firearms act

If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. To discourage responsible deserving Canadians from possessing firearms for lawful self-defence and other legitimate purposes is to risk sacrificing them at the altar of political correctness."

Further proof the Conservatives are the only friends we have.

Interested to see how the final wording and content pans out with the bill in the fall…….. then hope it actually gets passed before the next election is called, but some of the changes will make life a little easier for some if they come to pass.

Really hope the proposal to reign in the CFO's has some teeth in it. They are our number one problem at the moment IMHO.

I will wait and see. When it comes to politics I believe it when it actually happens and not before.

The cynic in me says that, even though they have enough votes in the House and Senate to push this through, this is really just a teaser to keep gun owners on-side for the upcoming election. It won't be passed, but will be promised to be passed of the Tories get re-elected.

Though, frankly, anyone who hunts/shoots or otherwise owns a gun would be daft to vote for Justin Trudeau, there are plenty of daft people out there.

Yes, even though the CPC has been slow to do anything else since the LGR, they are the only choice for gun owners and they damn well know it.
Libs under that twit Trudeau and the emotional moron running the NDP simply are not an option……… and for a lot more reasons than firearms.

Your right though, lots of "daft" people out there.
