I´m thinking ( and dreaming) about a yukon moose hunt for 2006 fall. Any recommendations for specific areas or outfitters? I´ll appreciate your experience also with a proper caliber... I understand to be over .30 at least. Thanks in advance.

I would call Jeff Neal at 918 299 3580. He has put people onto some very big moose in the last 2 years.

bonnett-plume outfitters take some very big moose 867-633-3366 as does mcmillan river outfitters IMO 30/06 with premium 180gr is a good min. from there up to the 375's are great

After 25 years of outfitting myself in the NWT arctic, I'd have to suggest going with Stan Stevens at 250-786-5118. He's been outfitting in the MacKenzie Mtns for years, I've sent lots of hunters to him, and never had a complaint, but instead have been deluged with "Thank You's". ~Arctic~ A stranger is a friend we haven't met

I'd be curious to know Tim Mervyn's stats over the last few years. His web site and annual photo cards usually show some nice looking Moose. Best, JohnTheGreek
