David_ParenteauThats great Clarke,I wasn't aware of that!
Mickey 1,
Are those numbers correct?29,000 in a country of 250,000,000.It seems kind of weak to me.The BCWF has an annual membership averaging about 30,000 and that's only from the poulation of British Columbia.

GatehouseAnd even that is a poor turnout when you consider that BC has about 150 000 hunters!

SCI has a worldwide membership. SCI is not the only Hunter's group in the US but it is the lagest and most influential Hunter's Advocacy Group on the Federal level. As in everything, it is quality that counts.

Three of the Chapters in Washington helped found an umbrella group that now has over 45,000 members in State. By funding it initially it was allowed to grow and now it is the most important voice for Hunters in the State.

Frans DiepstratenWordwide membership of SCI according to a recent response is 37,300. So 29,000 could be true. I admit that my initial reaction was "he, he missed a zero" but I checked the answer:
"In reply to your questions, we currently have 37,337 members and 194 chapters"
