Why is bear hunting in Ontario cheaper to hunt than say Manitoba?

Larger population(tax payers), more foreign hunters, etc, etc.

Forget Ontario ! I got burned 3 time there and the bears are smaller than in Manitoba

Don't even mess around. Come to BC, if its too cheap to be true, it probably is.

Have always wanted to hunt BC -- beautiful country there!

I live in Ontario and have hunted bear a few times with a few outfitters. Most of them are pretty Mickey Mouse affairs compared to western outfitters. The few times that I've hunted out of province I've been impressed with how much more professionally the whole deal was handled compared to back home. And I've never seen an Ontario bear that compares with some of the biggies that I've seen and shot in Quebec and out west. I'm sure they're here, but I doubt that the typical Ontario bear outfitter is gonna produce too many of them.
