Are Encore rifles legal to bring into Canada by a US citizen? I want to try 2 different calibers on a black bear hunt this spring (338-06 Gibbs & 270JDJ) but I have heard rumors that a US Citizen can not bring a T/C Encore with mulitiple rifle barrels into Canada. These are full 26" rifle barrels, not pistol barrels. I called Customs, but they were not much help. Is there any truth to this?
Thanks.

Yes you can. Some of my hunters have brought multiple barrels across with no problem. You just have to register the frame when crossing the border. My brother also has an Encore with multiple barrels.

I don't see why not, we are allowed to own them here.

I agree and that is what made me ask the question. Just another unsupported rumor. Well, we'll find out this spring....

Thanks for the replies!
