MY fellow Canadians, today is the most sacred day of the year, even more so than "Dominion Day", our nation's birthday.

Canada has a military record in both WWI and WWII, that is equalled by very few and excelled by none, our victories were often in battles where other allied troops had failed, our losses greater per capita than almost any other ally and our participation voluntary and consistently courageous and victorious.

"Lest We Forget", this is not a "holiday", let us take a few quiet moments to remember WHY we are the best nation to live in on Earth and WHO paid the ultimate price for that.............

God Bless all Canadian Armed Forces, living and dead, I am honoured by being able to remember you.

Even this day, US troops in the Middle East are emboldened by the presence of the Canadian troops fighting alongside of them. They have been a force to be reckoned with wherever they served.
God Bless them, and all those who died to safeguard our freedoms. And doubly so, those who serve today in the cause of freedom. May they all serve with honor and return home safe and sound with our.

I am proud to be part of the Veteran community.

Absolutely, say a prayer for ALL our soldiers, past and present, then give thanks, reflect on the past as well as the present. recite "Flanders Fields", which for me has become a prayer, then shed a tear for those no longer with us, who died fighting for our freedom and for the very few who are still with us. God Bless them all.

Remembrance day always will be special and sacred to me. It is good to remember, it is best to never forget. It saddens me that many business owners choose to decorate their stores with Christmas decorations and cram the commercialized holiday down our throats instead of remembering and realizing that men and women died so they are allowed to make such a choice. Perhaps if they had to fight or had loved ones die in such a fight, more respect and consideration would be given to the fallen.
My respect and gratitude go out to all our brave men and women. Thank you.
