What is the current situation for Americans wanting to import game meat from Canada to the USA? I'm going to be hunting white-tail and elk in Alberta this coming autumn, and sure would like to know what's up.

I've gotten lost on the USDA site repeatedly, and can't seem to find a reliable source for this information.

As far as I know at this time, you just need the export permit, like the last time. Things may change and if so, I can let you know.
