My wonderful wife wants to go to the East Coast in 2018 and see the fall colors. Since it is a given that we will make this trip, I would like to combine it with a black bear hunt. My wife does not hunt but loves to fish and would be the photographer as well.i am lookin for an outfitter who can provide a quality hunt, has fishing for my wife and me,in addition to comfortable accommodations and good food i.e.lots of lobster and other sea food. Thanks in advance for any leads or referrals. Respectfully,Jerry Hoover

In NB, try Wayne Scott's Nictau Lodge. I haven't hunted bear, but have hunted deer and moose on two different hunts there over the last couple years. Very nice lodge, excellent food, and great attention to detail on the hunts. Very good place.

In New Brunswick, I had a great time hunting with Big Paw Outfitters. I took a nice bear and had a great time. Also the food was great.

I really need some help on this. I am looking for an outfitter who can provide hunting for me and fishing for both my wife and me. Several outfitters have responded, but I know I will get honest evaluations from AR members. Thank you in advance for your assistance and wise council. Jerry Hoover

Just an observation, nothing more, but it is all going to depend on how many AR members have actually hunted in New Brunswick, and whether they were successful or not.

A person can have a really great hunt, but not kill anything, while another can have a bad hunt yet kill an animal.

Even the rocks don't last forever.

I can vouch for Wayne Scott. He's an excellent fellow, honest, and a good guy. He has worked very hard at his outfitting business and I've never heard a bad word about him. I built him a rifle several years ago (he is a US resident.)
His place is on the Tobique River, so that should more than take care of your fishing needs too. I think you will be pleased with him.
I don't know about the sea food though. These places tend to be a long way from the seacoast. But he can probably arrange something if you ask.

A good job is sometimes just a series of expertly fixed fark-ups.
Let's see.... is it 20 years experience or is it 1 years experience 20 times?
And I will have you know that I am not an old fart. I am a curmudgeon. A curmudgeon is an old fart with an extensive vocabulary and a really bad attitude.
