Does anybody know, if/where a guy can order some Northfork bullets in Canada?

Thanx.

order them direct and make shure he seperates your orders so that they are under 100$ each to by past the us laws .

tech anything over 100$ reqires a exprt permit but theres always a loop hole. and thats one of them.

or in my case i just drive 5 minutes over the boader and go get the stuff my self.

huntingtons sells to candians they have them i belive.

Mike won't send his bullets to Canada anymore. It's not legal for him to do so.

700N, the $100 exemption applies to gun parts, but does not apply to ammunition or components thereof. It is never technically legal to send bullets or brass from the US into Canada (US law, not Canadian), without a full blown export permit, which is prohibitively expensive for a small business (or any business that doesn't export much to Canada). I have never tried Huntington's though...maybe they have one?

I drive an hour over the line and get my stuff there.

Cheers,

cmfic1,we have many good bullets here.Just remember one thing there is no bullet that excels in every situation. If the bullets your looking for are accurate when fired from magnums then they are somewhat nonexpanding.A similar bullet in my oppinion would be the Sierra bullets. These are accurate bullets that have lead cores. If you want a little expansion and are willing to compromise on accuracy then go with a-frames.Another equivalent to the NF bullet would be the tsx.I think you can't go wrong with tsx bullets when fired from magnums.Anyway with a name like Northfork they can't be that good

Thanx shootaway...I have and will continue to use several different bullets, from different manufacturers. I have used X bullets almost exclusively for the last 12 years or so. I only want to try the NF due to all the rave about them, I dont know if they'll be better or worse than an X bullet, but I am gonna try 'em.
As far as A-Frames, I have used them with good results, but fairly expensive, and not readily available here, and Sierras....I have used them as well, and didnt like the results at all!

PS...was that a joke about the NF not being good?

IMO Barnes X are good, but I've heard they can be finicky. They penetrate well because when they expand the petals cut like knives going through. They are supposedly finicky because they will not work well in some rifles and finding a good load can be tough. However because they are mono-construction copper they are long-for-length (good BC),and there are no jacket separations.

I hear lots about Barnes X not being accurate, I myself have never had a problem working up a good load, and achieving excellent accuracy with them. Buttttt all my rifles are Customs, except one, but it was "Customized" (Rechambered, blueprinted etc.)
