The penalties issued against the hunters in this case tell me they "KNEW" they were taking place in illegal hunts.
Does that fit the facts of the case?

Yes the "hunters" had to have know what they were doing was illegal. In BC a non-resident who wishes to buy a big-game tag must, by law, provide the guide's name before a tag will be issued.

The biggest positive I see in this case is the way the law enforcement agencies on both sides of the border worked together in getting the paochers convicted.

Gatehouse, if you want to re-post this please do so!

In BC most non resident guided hunters get there tags from the outfitter him/herself that are pre purchased when the hunt is confirmed, obviously these fellows either had no tags or information was falsified to get them from a store . good to see thy all got busted for there efforts
