Does anyone in this neck of the woods have any experience with a double rifle? I keep day dreaming about one, then waking up to my bank account. I am curious about the hurdles to get one into Alberta.

There's a merkel dealer in Vancouver (Eurogun Imports) and serveral doubles that I know of in Alberta. Exactly what is you neck if the woods since you don't list it? If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. To discourage responsible deserving Canadians from possessing firearms for lawful self-defence and other legitimate purposes is to risk sacrificing them at the altar of political correctness." - Alberta Provincial Court Judge Demetrick

If money is an issue, buy a couple single shot NEF rifles and a roll of duct tape. Voila, one double rifle in a nice "stainless steel look" finish. No?...I didnt think it would go over well.

I have also thought it would be fun to be calling in a bull moose with a double rifle in my hands. I am looking into the Remington Spartan double in 45?70. Lists for about $600.00. Robin in Rocky

Only two hurdles to get one, ......picking up the phone to call Ralf Martini or some other dealer and writing the check! .......But's that's all forgotten over time! ~Arctic~ A stranger is a friend we haven't met
