The Peace Country in BC is just as bad Battle River. The gentleman I was visiting on Stewart Lake Road just East of Chetwynd has lost his Oat crop and figures it to be about $20,000 down the tybes. The only good point there is that with cross-fencing he will have some feed for his roughly 400 Buffalo and Reindeer. My friend and I bought 2 young Buff from this gent and yesterday my friend and the rancher went out onto Crown land and Mike(my friend) got himself a young Moose. He also saw his first wild Elk(a cow) and missed his first Archery Whitetain. (Where the heck did that branch come from ) If anyony wants to buy a Plains varient Bison I can supply the name and phone number of the rancher who has them. He is honest, straightforward helpful and a person well worth knowing. Also he has about 60 young Bison to sell. Let me tell you, If you think 47 Buff are easy to hunt in a 90 acre bushlot, think again.(Even with the snow) lol derf | ||
