Does anyone have some recent success stories regarding caribou hunting in Northern Quebec. Looking for good trophy quality but know the herd is not strong right now.

hello, the herds are really on the low side. i heard good things about Jack Hune when i was guiding in Northern Quebec. it is now few years ago. where it was good one year will not maybe the next year. Minto lake was the mecca for caribous now they barely see some during hunting time .... this is an animal that is moving all the time and they can move a lot. my suggestion is taking an outfitter that owns his own planes, been there forever and only good things said about the operations ... that will lead you 2 or three of those guys not more ... the other depends on air saguenay that owns also two operations but flying 90% of all the hunters .... did i said found one operator that owns his owns planes ..... good luck. Jack Hume is the only outfitter I would even consider for this hunt. -------------------------------------------- National Rifle Association - Life Member National Wild Turkey Federation - Diamond Life Sponsor Pope & Young Club - Associate Member

Putting a pin in a map where trophy caribou are these days is impossible. Numbers are down greatly. I agree that Richard and Amanda at Jack Hume Adventures are great people.
