Do you have a newspaper suggestion for me to read? so far all the ones I've found on-line are very slanted in their stories.

I have seen very much the same thing in Vancouver with respect to immigrants and their offspring making highly offensive comments about Canada and even Canadian veterans. There is one large gun store that I will not shop in due to the repeated derogatory remarks about this country and I have experienced this from Asians and other Europeans as well. I happen to be a member of a pioneer family, but, I am supposed to be ashamed of the five men in my family who voluntarily served in the Canadian Forces in WWII, three of them received injuries. My maternal grandfather was a Canadian officer at both Courcellette and Passchendaele in WWI and died quite young from the wounds he received at both of these battles. BUT, if I speak out for retaining our traditional values, then I am a "bigot" while an immigrant who slags this country is "celebrating his culture", for this, we can thank the commie Trudeau and his followers. To all Canadians out there, HAPPY DOMINION DAY!!!

Hey Bill Leeper, I just wanted you to know that not all Maritimers are on welfare or drawing pogey, the same as not all westerners are cowboys sneaking up on cows from behind. Some of us even have jobs and pay taxes. And much to your amazement I'm sure, some people in this part of the country even farm for a living. I thought you might like to know, in the riding I live in, even though the Lieberals reshaped the boundries to make it more Lieberal friendly. We still elected Rob Moore,(Conservative), by a wide margin. Please take note of the way the vote went in New Brunswick. The 2 areas of the province that went Conservative are mostly English rural. The rest of the province went Lieberal because of the french influence and the amount of money that is poured into those ridings by the Lieberals. People here aren't as stupid as you might think, they know a gravy train when they see one. Fredericton went Lieberal, but that is no surprise as it is a college town and Bathurst went N.D.P. because of a strong personality running for them. The next time you spout off about a part of the country, you should take time to check out the demographics. Best Regards Coyote Jack

Quote: As the 60th anniversary just occurred, I just wanted to say that this is one "Yank" that hasn't forgotten where the Canadians were on the "Longest Day". I remember. Thank you. -Bob F.
