Hey Chris!

Welcome to AR! Nice to see you here. Smiler

A Western Canada Big Bore Shoot wouldn't be the same without you (and your Ackley)!!!

Hope all is well at your end and that you have a great Christmas buddy!

Cheers,
Chris

Canuck,
Pending dates I'm in. I don't have a big bore, but it would be fun to come out none the less. Might be able to talk a few other guys into coming as well.

Well I just checked the posts and it seems the majority would be willing to do the RMH location. Now all we gotta do is firm up the date. I'd suggest not during the best part of spring bear season-we might all be chasing Yogi. Other than that pick a date and let's go!!

Everyone,
Just got off the phone with the VP of the Rocky range. The dates availible are April 28-29, 2007. So I went ahead and booked them. There is going to be a defensive pistol shoot on the 29th from noon till @ 3 pm but the gun range can still be used concurrently, and if you like you are able to participate in the defensive pistol shoot.
There is a cost associated with the use $1.00/day per person ($2.00/person) for insurance purposes only.
There is camping room at the range but there is no power or water/sewer. There are several campgrounds within 5 miles of Rocky who have full hookups if needed. Also there are several hotels in Rocky if people prefer. I'll get a list in the next day or two.

If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. To discourage responsible deserving Canadians from possessing firearms for lawful self-defence and other legitimate purposes is to risk sacrificing them at the altar of political correctness."

Here is a map to the range:
http://www.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Rocky+Mountain+Ho...pn=0.101216,0.344009 The range is on the west side of Range Road 80 about 2 kms south of Hwy 11

Sadly, I am unable to join you. As noted in my previous post, the last weekend in April is the only weekend I am unavailable.

Perhaps next year?

Hey Canuck~arino,

I'm available any weekend BUT the last weekend of April. I'll be in Edmonton but probably too busy to participate....dang, and I'd pay good money to watch Axle shoot the really big stuff again.
