The fishing was slow. Hot and low water in the rivers.

Gorgeous country....congrats on the bruins. Stalked, dogs or over bait(I'm guessing the last)?

Nice photos, most enjoyable to see the "restoration" of our first as yet "discovered" settlement in "The New World" and the monument to Instad, a latterday Viking. I hope to visit "L,Anse aux Meadows" in a couple of years and NFLD. is the part of my country I most want to explore, after the Yukon and more of BC.

Lottsa Moose there, seems like the place to go for hunters from the eastern USA. I would double-up, use a van and bring all the meat home, helps defray the costs of such a hunt, still much less than hunting in BC, for example.

There are rumours here in the Canadian media, that there may be a "cull" of these animals there due to traffic safety concerns. One would hope that the NFLD. government would do this by increasing the hunting harvest for both resident and non-resident hunters......but, hey, we are dealing with politicians here, so.........
