Kutenay, I would rather Canada be the great country that it was but since that is not going to happen I would rather take part of it and keep it like it was and should be in the future. I don't like the way this country is headed. If you want to be the captain that goes down with the ship thats your choice, I'm going to jump on the life raft. I don't want to be a part of a country that is dictated by a minority of multicultural hoodlums (I believe they are the majority now) that care about nothing more than sucking it dry and revoking my "God given Rights". I want to protect what little of the good lifestyle we have left before it's all taken away, and it will if we remain. aka. bushrat | |||

You know, Canada was originally upper and lower Canada, and they were English colonies, with territories to the west for exploitation. When the two colonies became a country, they contunued to exploit those territories. Eventually, when there were enough people (OK, white people) in the west, and to prevent any US incursions, they decided that the west could be economically exploited provinces instead of territories. They also set up the government in such a fashion that no matter how many people ever lived in the west, power would always stay in central Canada, via parliament seats. This effectively keeps the west as a colony of upper and lower Canada in perpetuity. Eventually, all colonies break off from the mother country and move off on thier own, either peacefully or violently. the west has simply reached this point in it's development. - dan "Intellectual truth is eternally one: moral or sentimental truth is a geographic and chronological accident that varies with the individual" R.F.
