I will be coming over the border in the Soo area and will be headed into the bush on my Beemer GS. Since everyone I talked to said that there may be a problem bringing a bear spray from the states with me I just want to avoid the hassle and will pick something up when I get into Canada.
Any suggestions where would be a good place to shop once I get into Sault Sainte Marie?

Plans are to just sort of cycle camp, fish as I roll up 129 to Chapleau then on to Timmons, do the loop through Cochrane, then run West until I hit the turn for Pickle Lake and head North, til I run out of road, taking any interesting trail that catches my attention.

I live next door in Manitoba and do not know the actual stores in that city, but most any decent sporting goods shop should carry bear spray.

I believe Canadian Tire sells pepper spray. If not grab a Yellow Pages in a library and look for a sporting goods store. Mind you, I wouldn't worry too much about a bear when you're on a motorcycle. Yogi doesn't like the noise.
If it comes to pass that you need it for two legged varmints, you'll likely be charged with assualt for using it.

Spelling and grammar count.

There is a Canadian Tire in SSM. Perry's gun shop might also have something, or you might even try the Wal-Mart.
