Headed to Manitoba next week with stops in the Black Hills and North Dakato in route. Will sightsee in the Black Hills, shoot pheasants in North Dakota with a good friend, then on to Manitoba to bowhunt whitetail with Monty of McKenzie outfitters. Will also have time, I hope, to take in some the the great Goose and Duck hunting. Will report back here on AR after returning to New Mexico at the end of the month.

The birds are coming in now, but the weather has been colder than normal and the ponds are all frozen today. It is suppose to warm up tomorrow, but then cool down again next week. It has been an odd fall for weather so far here in SW Manitoba.

We had a two bow hunters screw up on two nice 150 to 170 class bucks a couple of weeks ago. Very depressing. Thank goodness the fall bear hunters could hit what they were aiming at.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures after the hunt. Hope you get a big one.

Been out pounding the birds the last 2 weekends in southern MB...buddy & I limited out on mallards yesterday (big northerns) & blasted 7 Canada's & 2 snow geese! Hope you have a good archery whitetail hunt & have fun with the birds, an absolute hoot calling 'em into a spread of decoys!!
