Well, well, well, only $65. and a 3 month wait, and I have a new Firearms Acquisition Certificate. This
time it was held up for information concerning my first wife who died of cancer 25 years ago. I assured them
that I was not involved in her death. Sometimes these clowns are hard to stomach. I just read in the
National Post that the banning of the gun registry question is a no-confidence issue so liberal members of
Parliament have to vote the party line or be expelled from Commons. Says something about democracy
in Canada doesn't it? I've read 7 different articles in the National Post in the past two weeks about the
possible demise of the gun registry. Guess how many articles have appeared in the Montreal Gazette? Right
again - 0. It's a touchy issue here because the registry sprang up after the shooting of the female university
students here, so we dare not print articles concerning this issue. It just might upset readers. It's what I
know as "News management." If we're not going down the tube we're not missing it by much. Best wishes.

Yes, and even though an independent study has shown that gun regisistry has not reduced gun related crimes even 1%.( DUH! )
I've often thought it would be interesting for the news media, when reporting gun crimes, to also report if the criminal also had a valid FAC/POL and the gun was registered.
Well, I guess another billion $$ will get shoved down that rat hole again this year.

I am really sorry about the state of affairs up there and sympathize with you guys. I bought some of my best rifles from fellow shooters in Canada years ago, before regulations got bad for everybody. I fear it's just a matter of time in the USA, when the Democrats regain power. They personally hate gunowners (but not criminals who use guns). They associate them with their Republican adversaries and are not interested in what is in the U.S. Bill Of Rights, only power and control over their subjects.
