im from the UK and im wondering why would
these types of scopes not be allowed?

Some guys just don't know. They are legal in whole country as far as I know, however there is very little use for us due to hunting regulation, 1/2 before sunrise and after sunset.
I used to hunt with one, however, didn't see a nees for huge scope and got rid of it.
