FrostbitWeather and traffic along the AlCan
Hi guys,
Joyce and I just bought a Bigfoot truck camper in Oregon. They had a really good deal on it so we drove down in our Dodge Cummins dually to pick it up.
We are on our way back and staying tonight just North of Cache Creek in a campground with wifi.
We drove down the Cassiar but our plan is to stay North out of Prince George and run up to Dawson Creek then West back to Alaska.
Looks like the weather is warming above freezing for Price George, Dawson Creek and west to Fort St. John.
How's the weather and roads west through Watson Lake to Beaver Creek and the border?
Any boots on the ground info would be great.
Wave high as we drive by.

Watson LakeHad t load of materials delivered yesterday. Alaska highway was pretty good according to trucker. There will be slippery conditions from Watson Lake to Whitehorse. Be very careful of black ice as temperatures are warming up. By now though I expect you might be already home? Drive safe and to road conditions. Hope you have or had a great trip.
If you are not yet to Watson Lake and need a meal and or shower drop me a note.

Thanks for the offer Barry. We made it through fine and are holing up tonight in Beaver Creek just short of the border. Temps are dropping. The only tricky road conditions were for about 60 kilometers either side of Watson Lake. The warming made the ice wet and slick.
Cheers
