Hello Folks

I've located a rifle I want to buy in Lethbridge, Southern Alberta. I need to find a gunstore in that general area that will handle an export order (the nearest capable gunstore I know of is located in Vancover, which is aways away !!)

Any ideas gratefully recieved

Thanks - Foster

There's Wholesale Sports, about 5 of them in Alberta. The web address is: http://www.wholesalesports.com They sell a lot of firearms and probably are quite familar with the process.
Check out the site and send them an email. They'll advise you as to what's required for foreign sales. Best wishes.

I second Cal's suggestion. In fact there is a Wholesale Sports right in Lethbridge.

Thanks Guys

I checked their website and it says "No Exports" but if there was someone I could talk with maybe they might be persuaded to do it, does anyone know someone at management level with them ??

Cheers - Foster

I went to 411.com and found a business called lock and load 780-425-4444. They are in Edmonton try them maybe they can help. There is supposed to be an awesome gun shop in Bashaw Alberta but I don't know the name maybe he can help. What about calling the firearm resistry people maybe they have names of dealers.

It must be some gun if it's worh all that hassle.

Hey Thanks Guys

I'll be following up those leads tomorrow. Yep - its something reasonably special, a Browning Low Wall in 243. They are bloody hard to track down, this is the first one I've seen in more than 3 months and its NIB.

Maybe it won't work out but hey, whats a bit of time trying going to cost !!

Cheers

Tentman, I live in Lethbridge. If I can help you, send me a PM. I'm down at Marksman Sports all the time ... I know that occasionally they export a rifle to the U.S. thumb

Hello Scuffy

That was no co-incidence, I just got an email from him, unfortunely confirming that they will not do it. Poor old Ted at Marksman must be spinning because I also called him (just after he talked with Ken, the guy I'm dealing with) but anyhow he (Ted at Marksman) has agreed to ship it over to Reliable Gun in Vancouver who are happy to do the export documentation.

Now Scruffy don't spoil my day by telling me the guy you saw talking at Marksman (Ken) was a real shifty looking charater who is going to take my money and run . . . .

Cheers - Foster
