I'm itchin for a rug....any recomendations? I'm looking for a good bear and a great experience, not interested in baited bears. A 2 bear hunt would be nice. Thanks for the input. Steve

Tonnes of good recommendations in the Kootenays. The mountains are a great place for spot and stalk, and our limit here is 2 bears. Baiting is illegal here. PM me for some specific outfitters if you are interested. Cheers, Canuck

Just cuz I like to, here's a teaser pic for you. This bear was thumped by one of my best friends last spring (he's not an outfitter), although it was clearly not spot-and-stalk (dogs are legal here for bears and cats). The picture is not great for showing off size (especially with the 6' 2" 235lb guy sitting close to the bear ) but it actually goes 7'1" long and 7'4" wide, for an honest 7'2" square. Hi Well it seems like fore-ever since I was last on this site. I live on Vancouver Island B.C., Canada. The Bear population here has skyrocketed. Chances of getting a decent Bear from north island are almost a lock. In case you did not know the Island bears are well known for big skulls and great trophy quality. You will see many Bears every day usually.. weather permitting etc. Spot and stalk hunting, mostly logging slashes. Hope you find a good hunt. Best of luck

Fredlund Guide Service in BC runs a hell of an outfit and kills some very good bears on spot/stalk hunts in the hills.... www.fredlundguideservice.com
