Surprised no one posted this before. On Nov. 25, 51 year Don Peters of Calgary, was killed by a Grizzly, about 200 yards from his vehicle, when he apparently disturbed the animal on the remains of a deer kill. The incident happened about 3 miles west of the Mountain Aire Lodge, near the Wildhorse campground. Even though it was a small area, it took searchers 3 days to find the body, since Mr. Peters was clad in full camo and concealed in some brush. S&R volunteers are apparently not allowed tocarry guns so some volunteer hunters were interspersed in the shoulder to shoulder search, that finally located the body. On another site, the manager of the lodge claims that they have seen 10 individual bears around the lodge, during the last year. Grizz Indeed, no human being has yet lived under conditions which, considering the prevailing climates of the past, can be regarded as normal.
